HIPAA regulations state that you must formally designate a Privacy Officer and a Security Officer.

The HIPAA Privacy Officer, Barbara Turner, is the leader at CFHC who oversees and helps make sure that the organization remains compliant with the privacy of all patient’s protected health information.

The HIPAA Security Officer, Walter Whitten, is the leader at CFHC who oversees and helps make sure that CFHC’s physical and organizational safeguards are in place related to all information security throughout the organization.

These two individuals work closely to investigate and recommend secure solutions related to the development, implementation, and oversight of CFHC’s Privacy and Security policies and procedures, as well as the agencies overall compliance with HIPAA regulations.
